Band of Animal Warriors

I've been enjoying working directly with ballpoint pen and markers lately. I familiarize myself a bit with the subject matter before starting the actual drawing, by doing studies and recall. Then I put the references and studies away and start drawing directly in ink, drawing as much as I can before consulting reference. The results aren't perfect, but they feel more alive and dynamic this way. And, I can't endlessly rework pieces, so I'm forced to move on faster.
